A VIEW FROM THE BUS STOP

This is what I look at when I am waiting for the bus to come back up from Modica Bassa. I gaze at the elegant balconies in the first photo and try to imagine who lives in the houses in the second one and what their lives are like. It's a pity about the wires and there is a petrol station below but then, you can't have everything.

They would look lovely if they were all painted white. Still look nice, but...just a thought.

Looks like what I would expect Greece to look like. Not Italy. Does make you wonder about all the people living in those places though. ~ jb///

Telegraph wires always spoil a pic, I often go to great lengths, standing in various positions, to avoid them, but it's not always possible.

I'm not sure when your pic was taken, but we have very grey skies here today.

Hi, Steve. I don't know... I rather like the pink house! Hi, Ellee. The pic was taken yesterday morning. Sometimes I think I'd quite like a grey, Cardiff day but then I remember how cold it can be there and change my mind! I stand in ridiculous positions to avoid wires in my photos but this was one of those times when I just couldn't get rid of the things!

There are parts of our town where the wires are all above ground rather than buried, and they look awful. The electrical wires hum and crackle, too.

When I lived in the San Fernando Valley I often saw rats running along the wires, too.

So I don't like wires!
