This baking powder was hiding on a high shelf in one of the supermarkets today. It's the first time I've seen the product here. There are alternatives, of course, in the form of sachets of vanilla-flavoured lievito per dolci, and these obviously work well as the pastry chefs here are superb. But I always end up with the contents of half the sachet left over. Besides, it's nice, occasionally, to cook with what you are used to!

I know the feeling. When I was still in the army and we were stationed in California, my wife was so happy when we found a shop that sold some German items.
If only I knew how to bake. My Dad is the baker. I can cook but for some reason.. simply can't bake! lol ~M
Do they sell Bisto gravy too?
There must be enough ex-patriates for the store to start carrying that product.
Not being able to find the ingredients I'm used to working with would be very difficult for me. Here in San Diego county, we have so many ethnic markets that it's easy to find any ingredient you could need-- as long as you don't mind driving.
LOL I've never seen that brand before in my life. I'm glad it makes you happy, though.
