OF COFFEE POTS AND THINGS

Only Cesare and I wanted coffee after the meal on Saturday. "Haven't you got a smaller coffee pot?", asked Irma as I put the one on the right on the hob. "No", said I. Now, I don't go in for the "long" coffees that are served in Britain but I am still British enough to think that there's no point in making the beverage in a smaller pot than this!

Italians keep several sizes of espresso pot and which one to use is often debated after a meal; how they eventually come to a decision remains a mystery to me.

I have just these two.

WL, perhaps you should consider converting to Beta. It really isn't bad and it's much easier to organize. I enjoy your coffee post, which I did comment on. Let's see it this one takes.

Ciao, Steve. Thank you. I gather blogger are "out of beta" at the moment? Steve, I'm so scared of the technology of changing!

Beta has gone, steve...Google have moved on to bigger and better...and that is what's causing all the problems, I think.

I'm with you, Welsh...all these changes are scary and confusing...and on top of all that happening, I'm trying to learn how to use a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 camera...to enable me to photograph food for a food article I'm writing for a newspaper! And I am a true, naive novice and innocent at digital cameras, let alone photographing food I have to prepare to accompany my article! So a lot of confusion is going on here at my cabin at the moment!

I did have a small coffee maker in a similar size to the one at the right of your pic...it only made one cup and I never used it. I've got two coffee makers...one of which is a plunger, and I rarely use it, preferring my older style perculator.

I'm not changing until they force me to. I'd lose my template. As for the coffee pots, I have a range of sizes myself but it depends on the size of the company. Is that why the Sicilians do it?

Coffee does taste extra special from one of these coffee pots.

Hi, James. It's taken me quite long enough to work out what I'm doing with "old" blogger so I'll wait a bit! Agree - don't lose your unique template! Coffee pots: yes, that's why the Itals do it. but do you have a coffee pot as small as their smallest sized one? - I might get one if only to show people who may not believe me on here.
