"Dashing away with a smoothing iron"

I see that, in Spain, a country where the women are reputed to iron everything as diligently and thoroughly as they do here in Sicily, a dryer that will do the ironing for you has been invented. Put me on the list for one of those!
By the end of this week, I have calculated, it should be cool enough to put the duvet back on the bed and then - whoopee! - no more ironing of sheets till next summer!

OK, I knew I was lazy but why do you iron your sheets....
I am sure my Mother will smack me for asking this as I have totally embarased her right now...
but again... why?
I hate to iron.. I always had the duty of oroning the curtains, the napkins, the table clothes the clothes!! :( The sheets.. I would have died! lol! ~M
Hi, M . Well, I only iron the top sheet as it's too hot here in summer to put anything over it to hide it! I really resent even doing that!
