Kind Lucia visited this morning, bringing me these wonderful gifts from her garden: loti or kaki in dialect [Sharon fruit or persimmons], pomegranates and quinces. [The tiny pears around the side are from the greengrocer's and are the sweetest I have tasted.]

Bella!
Catching up as ever!
How very pretty. WE used to have a quince bush in our garden - but it seems to have disappeared.
They are all lovely and colourful
I'll have the pomegrantes PLEASE WL..they are my favourite!! Such a wonderful gift.
Wonderful autumn treats! We are also enjoying the sweet pears. Thank you for your kind blog comment. We feel so lucky to be in Sicily.
P.S. Kaki is also the Japanese word for persimmon.
Si, molto bella, WW. Hi, Liz. Did George hve anything to do with that, by any chance?! Hi, Cherie. Thanks. Hi, Anne. I'll send them over! Hello, "Dim Sum, Bagels and Crawfish". Welcome to my blog. That's very interesting linguistic information. Thanks for sharing it.
How lovely ! It is Autumn indeed with those orange & yellow hues.
This makes me think of the US because of the " horn of abundance" or Cornucopia decorations that are put out in November for Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your fruit ! :)
I've been eating pomegranates this week thanks to the local Asda. The only pears I can find are rock hard, tastless and inedible.
