MOUNTAINGIRL'S PHOTO CHALLENGE - "LANDSCAPE"

Tempus fugit and Friday once again brings mountaingirl's Photo Challenge. This week's theme is "landscape".

This is a photo of Snowdonia, Wales, taken by my father before the midpoint of the twentieth century:

And here is a photo of the Cava d'Ispica, Sicily, taken by his daughter at the beginning of the twenty-first:

Love them both, Welshcakes - the first one evokes my stunned feelings when I first raced along the old Holyhead road to Anglesey and the ferry. I had to keep stopping to park and goggle at the views!
The latter's just beautiful - and makes one long to get out there into the landscape and explore it.

Thanks, Phidelm. What a lovely memory. I can picture you. Yes, the Cava d'Ispica is quite something.
