I've been rather serious here for the past couple of days. Time for a little girlish frivolity: all the shoe shops have sales, for they are desperately trying to get rid of their summer stock before everyone leaves for the sea in two or three weeks' time. When most of their customers return at the end of August [some do not do so until November] although it will still be hot, their fashion thinking will turn to winter. I found these all-leather pretties going at half-price this morning.
Why I Love Autumn in Sicily 🍂🍁

Very nice shoes. Half price, my wife would love to be there shoping.
Now why don't you put those lovely dancing shoes on and fly over to the UK next weekend as my husband is having a 50th birthday bash and his band will be playing rhythm and blues and I know you would love it.
Just bring the sunshine with you, we are still being flooded here.
I love Italian shoes/boots/sandals - and I found a really nice shop in Marina di Ragusa selling gorgeous sandals and handbags. I bought a pair of sandals and a brown basket-type beach bag. I'm always happy with the things I buy from Sicily.
I hope England gets some better weather soon.
It wouldn't be good to let me loose at sale time in an Italian shoe shop. They are very pretty;perfect for the weather you are having in Sicily.
ooooh lovely. Now THAT'S summer! Half off? my favorite four letter word - sale!
Just my sort of shoes!! I have a cupboard full of similar ones but they seem to only come out when we go on holiday (abroad).
Steve, I'm sure she would! Ellee,I wish I could and thank you. But I could never kennel Simi in this heat - I'd be worried sick about hr. She needs her mum. Are you being affected by the flooding? The TV pics look horrific. Hi, Lillyv. Can't beat the Itals when it comes to bags and shoes. I hope Britain gets better weather, too. A lot of the places affected are ones I know well and it's heartbreaking to see them like this. My heart goes out to everyone affected. Lady M, Chris, glad you like them.
I hope you didn't go mad and buy about twenty pairs!
Now, Crushed - don't put ideas in my head!
very pretty and very you!
Bliss! So dainty...makes my sensible Birkenstocks look rather clumpy but, in fact, they are the best thing since sliced bread.
Truly pretty but I would be breaking my ankle in shoes like this. Enjoy them
Thanks, liz. Shirl and jmb - they are surprisingly comfortable!
Ooooooo.......
I love them! I adore sandals. I wish I could wear them every day but I imagine it would be a bit cold in the winter!
:)
M
Glad you like them, Ruthie and M.
