You may remember that on Friday some election posters had begun to reappear [illegally] on the wall down the street. Today some have been ripped down again and others covered by these notices stating that political billposting in this location contravenes Law 212 of 4.4.56. This will go on and on!

hi, nice blog from sicily... do you know some nice hotel near messina? thank you..
Hi, ergo. Thank you. I haven't been to Messina for some years but I usually stay in the Jolly Hotel chain because I feel safe in them travelling alone. My Cadogan Sicily Guide recommends the "Panoramic" smaller hotel, too, as well as one or two by the station. Personally I find staying in hotels located near railway stations in Italy not a particularly safe thing to do but that is just a woman's experience.
You've got to love the old commune workers. They have to put up six copies of the same thing too!

I love the way the law is challenged in Italy. I am sure it's not great in most respects but it's stuff like this that make me laugh. I was reading the Times I think it was NY paper, and there were photgraphs of a father in Naples riding a motorcycle with out a helmet with a baby on his lap. Now this is just crazy! The entire article was about the lawlessness in Italy. Yet the respect they had for a shopkeeper not to smoke in his bar. Intersting!
All the best,
M
Put them up and take them down. Must be a full time job.
Hi, jmb. I must say the comune man looks happy in his work! Hi, M. Yes, I have friends here who laugh at me for fastening my seatbelt when I get in their cars! A lot of young people ride motorini without helmets here, too - it is crazy. The paradoxes are interesting, as you say. Hi, Steve. Yes, I think it is. Today, by the way, the comune notices covering the election ones have been covered by more election notices! It does all cheer my day.
