BARCHETTA DI ANANAS

Once again, it is the way fresh fruit is presented here that has made my day. I have not seen pineapple cut quite like this anywhere else. [And again, they will do this for you in the simplest bar.]

Oh the picture hasn't appeared so I'll have to take your word for it! I love fresh pineapple!

You'll like this, Welshcakes: I was planning on watching a DVD tonight but the batteries had gone in the controller that I use to switch between TV and DVD player; I couldn't find any replacements and I didn't know how to work any of the other controllers that might have been able to switch channels! So I came in here and read blogs instead!

We eat lots of fresh pineapple, but I can never slice it as neat as this.

I recently bought a pineapple cutter from Amazon for about £5.00. It is fantastic, peels, cores and cuts the pineapple into a spiral in seconds. Magic.
We now eat fresh pineapple far more often.

These sorts of things are more important, in my eyes, than all the politics.

Mmmm. That looks delicious. I love Pineapple.

Interestingly,(or not), I cooked, grilled Gammon steaks with Roasted Parsnips mixed with long slices of fresh Roasted Pineapple, drizzled in Accacia Honey and sprinkled with sesame seeds. I also served some lightly steamed Brocolli Spears. Oh, and not forgetting a spoonful of Colmans English Mustard. It`s one of DT`s favourites. 'Shades' may enjoy that!
BTW. Welshcakes, I still await the arrival of the 'Cookery Book'. due any time now. Can`t wait !

Hope you and Simi are well and happy. Today the sun is shining, so, Chloe and Moi are very, very happy !

Ciao, Liz. Don't know what happened with the picture. You're right - I did like that! Hi, Sally. I couldn't cut them either but now I've got one of those cutters you describe and it works a treat. Hi, Leslie. Lovely, isn't it? Ciao, Ellee. Yes, pineapple is supposed to be the "perfect food" in terms of nutrients, isn't it? That's a shame, Shades. No gammon steaks here and now I am wanting one! No way, WW! Glad it appeals, kissa. MM, I think that must be the same sort of pineapple cutter that I have. I love it as I could never cut them successfully before. Hi, James. I think this attention to doing the smallest task beautifully is what keeps Italians going and enables them to put up with their awful governments, etc! Trubes, that sounds delicious. Hope the book comes soon and do tell me how you get on with it. Lots of love to you and Chloe from Simi and me xx
