ANOTHER NEW FRUIT

- New to me, anyway. These are grown in Sicily but go by the Japanese name of miakawa, I am told. They have the taste of a sharp mandarin.

Now this does look interesting. I often eat a sliced mandarin in a bowl of porridge. Do they eat porridge in Italy?

Hi, Ellee. Mandarin in porridge sounds yummy! We can't buy porridge here, but Sicilian friends who have been to Britain appreciate it and it is one of the things I am often asked to bring them back from there. By the way, Sicilians like to add a slice of mandarin to sparkling wine!
