"They don't write 'em like that any more!" Well, actually, they do, for there are so many beautiful, romantic songs around these days. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say, "They don't perform 'em like that any more". That's how I feel when I listen to the tempo of this song, one of the first that I ever heard in Italian. Oh, yes, I still have my vinyl of this one, too, performed by velvet-voiced Emilio Pericoli. But for tonight, dearest readers, enjoy being serenaded by the great Claudio Villa:
Claudio Villa - Romantico amore

Thanks for introducing me to the delightful Claudio Villa and Romantico amore—is that “Romantic Love”? I speak no Italian—just high school Latin.
Who sings like this anymore? Wow, as smooth as melted Velveeta cheese. I remember Emilio Pericoli's song, I must have been so young, it was long ago but the memories just flooded back. Thank you.
The oldies are the best.
Glad you liked this, Nick. Yes, that's right. Hi, Anne, I'm pleased it brought back some good memories. In all ways, James!
