A series I've enjoyed recently on Italian TV is Questo Nostro Amore. Set in 1967, the story takes place in an Italy that is very different from today's, or even the Italy I first visited two years later. Divorce had not yet been legalised and Vittorio and Anna, who are very much in love, have three children but cannot marry as Vittorio is already married, to Francesca. As the first episode begins the family are thrown out of their flat because the parents are not married and this is not the first time it has happened. The family move to another town and acquire Sicilian neighbours. But Francesca is about to reappear....
