LUNCH ON A JANUARY DAY

It's always nice to have lunch with a friend and this is what we had today in Bar Cicara's new extension, from where we could watch the world go by:

A plate of antipasti

Palermitana di carne
Veal cutlet in a herbed & seasoned breadcrumb mixture
[Who am I to refuse the chips?]

and prettily served fresh fruit for dessert

I'm always excited to see what people really eat. Palermitana veal looks a lot like Milanese.

No Sicilian haggis for Burns Night?

This looks like on of the best lunch venues in Sicily. Delicious.

Palermitana di carne looked particularly scrumptious.

Hi, Sally. Yes, it was. Hi, Rosaria. It does taste different, though. I forgot about that, WW! It's only been open just over a year but it's getting a very good reputation, Cuby. And so it was, James.
