Mmmm ... oh, Welshcakes, it looks mouthwatering! Italians make the best ice cream. I remember a trip to Rome aeons ago when we stayed near the central train terminal, and discovered nearby a treasurehouse of gelati called 'Il Palazzo del Fredo': heaven! We went every evening, and the place was full of families, buzzing with conversation and enjoyment - and the icecream was, of course, delicious.
Eagle-eyed as ever, James! Hi, Phidelm. They are brilliant at ice cream and it always comforts me to see the notices in the bars [where they make their own] laying down the law about what ingredients can be used. What a good name for an ice cream parlour! Hi, Anne. One day you will come over and have one here! You too, Cherie.
Wow Welshcakes it's amazing that you keep so slim eating all that delicious icecream...Hmm are you going to let us know who the second bowl of icecream was for or maybe it was Simi's!
Hi, Trubes. I convince myself that the ice cream is full of good ingredients. Will be over to your blog later. Love to you all from Simi and me xx. It is indeed, WW.
Sounds like a fantastic combination. The pistachio reminds me of Persian ice cream which is my all time favorite - pistachio, saffron, rosewater and bits of frozen cream.
Hi, Michelle. The Persian ice cream you describe sounds divine. Hi, Kinha. My favourite flavour is black cherry. Sometimes I think so, Rochambeau. Always a pleasure to visit your lovely blog.
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

Do I detect a second bowl of icecream on the other side of the table? Oooh, do tell.
