ONE FOR THE WEEKEND

There are some advantages to hobbling along [though I am hobbling much less than earlier in the week]. When I asked for a dish of fruit at the Altro Posto, they said, "Oh, we must put some ice cream on it for you today!" I gave in gracefully.

So sorry, WL, I missed your earlier post about your poorly foot. I do hope it settles down soon - or, maybe, it is asking you to do the settling down! After all, if you've got to wear flatties, you might as well stay at home.

That does look good.

Well, what else could you say? It would have been discourteous to refuse.

I thought you meant they would put ice cream on your foot...

Hi, Shirl. Well, unless I got very stylish flatties.... Thanks for your good wishes. Steve, Anne, it was good! Quite so, Liz - quite so. Mutley, what a great idea!

You getting spoiled there, Welsh...you sure you've got a crook foot? ;) I think this seems like a pretty good ploy you've got going there! ;)

Hi WCLC,
You deserve that wonderful treat, especially in that "heat".

I hope your foot is getting better. How are the Geox flats? I was telling my daughter to check them out when she goes to Italy in two weeks to visit her inlaws in Biella. They are sure to be cheaper there than in North America where they are rather pricey. She said she would look into it.

It was, M! Lee, you're right - I made it all up to get the ice cream!! Hi, jmb. The swelling has gone down but it's still a bit sore. Good job I bought the Geox shoes when I did! They cost 99 euros, btw. I don't know how that compares with prices over there.
