Happy belated Ferragosto to you and Simi. We had an evening dinner at ours last night and the question "who has to work tomorrow?" came up in conversation. Of the 8 adult guests, 2 replied that they had to hit the road bright and early. Someone among the group exclaimed: "Well atleast you two are helping to fix the italian economy!"
Grazie, WW. Thanks, Rowena and for the anecdote too. Thanks, LindyLouMac. I didn't hear any foreworks last night but I expect there were some down at the Marina.
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

I can imagine you cha-cha-ing around the living room to that.
