First, the study. The decanter and glasses in the second photo were used by Nelson on the Victory on the eve of the Battle of Trafalgar. The guide and I were agreed that the dressing table in the third photo is the prettiest piece of furniture in the castle.

Wow! Lovely! I thought they were yours at first, Welsh until I read your script.
I've now read your previous two "Nelson" posts...wonderful information and terrific pics. I'm so glad you shared them with us.
I think you might have found an opening for yourself there, Welsh...you could become a tourist guide...not as silly as it sounds! Such an interesting area, so much to explore by the sounds of it.
Great posts.
Are the floors tiled?
Lovely desk too.
More nice pictures. Do they get many tourists?
Hi, Lee. I wish! Your suggestion is not silly at all. You know, I wouldn't mind doing that! Thanks for your encouragement.
Hi, Liz. Yes, tiled. I've put a more detailed pic on "Nelson Trail-4". I'd love a desk like that!
Buona sera, Steve. I've no idea how many tourists they get but I imagine they get a lot of school groups. The guide told me that the castle is often used as a venue for wedding receptions so perhaps they make a lot of money that way.
