Ah, but the Italians have it right, you see. They rarely eat anything other than fruit for dessert and most days after the long lunch they go back to work, so use up the calories. Having said that, I'll diet next week!
Buona sera, James. Yes, it's a kind of ice cream that I made for the feast. It's called "Suffolk Lemon Pudding" [Jennifer Paterson recipe] but I tell Italians it's a lemon semifreddo, as that's what the texture resembles. I did say what it was on the previous post but I couldn't get all the pics on it. I should have explained it again on this one.
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!
