CHIACCHIERE

Here are chiacchiere, the wafer-thin biscuits made during this Carnevale period. The verb chiacchierare means "to gossip" and the biscuits are said to derive their name because they are made in the shape of old women's tongues!

Ha! You haven't tempted me this time, Welsh! I had friends over for lunch today...and they left in one piece, albeit very sated! And so am I! Great time was had by all! I made the blueberry panna cotta as dessert...and it was very tasty!

Your lunch sounds wonderful, Lee! You describe it so well that I fell I was there - only I feel hungry so know I wasn't!
Shirl, they do just that!
