OUT AND ABOUT AT CHRISTMAS

I hope you all like the new header because it took me from 5pm till midnight to get it on as it just wouldn't centre! In the end I had to crop it in order to increase the width but you can see the whole effect above. It is, of course, a light projection of Raphael's Madonna della Seggiola and, along with the stars, it is a lovely sight, lighting up the Duomo di San Pietro for Christmas.

Outside the Bar Edicolè there are these pretty arrangements:

And round at Mr T's deli, his daughter has set up this clever tree:

I hope you're all beginning to feel festive!

The header is very nice. It was worth the time and effort. Nothing is ever easy. For some reason I can't get more than one photo to upload to a post tonight. There's always domani.

Hi WL

A lovely header. Sometime soon I need to revamp my entire blog design but that's for after the New Year.

Enjoy your Sicilian Christmas. You too, Simi.

I've modified the heading photo and I've sent it to a mail I've found in your blog — I'm not sure if it's the right adress though. It's a really nice photo and it would be great to see it at its best. If it still needs to be improved please let me know, just want to help.
Merry Christmas!

Now I know that you folks on the island have had or are still having your fair share of foul weather, but it struck me as odd not to see any snow in the pics! It must be nice not to have to worry about slipping on any ice. Buon Natale!!!

The duomo looks stunning, stunning, stunning - thank you for sharing that with us. Last night we had candle-lit carols in our village church, with snow on the ground and stars overhead - it really starts to feel as if Christmas is coming.

Doesn't traditional baubally snowy glittery Xmas feel out of place in Sicily... surely it's still quite hot out there, even in late December...?
