MOUNTAINGIRL'S PHOTO CHALLENGE - "SEASON"

I'm a day late for the Photo Challenge so I hope my friend mountaingirl will forgive me. This week's theme is "season".

Whatever the season, here are two places where it's cold at the top:

My Mum with family friend on the summit of Mt Snowdon, Wales in a photo taken by my Dad a lifetime ago

and the snow-covered summit of Mt Etna in a photo taken from Monte Lauro by a friend in 1999:

I'm sitting here shivering just looking at these!

I especially love that top photo of your Mum, I can feel the warmth coming out of it :-)

I love the photo of you mom and friend. Looking at it, I can feel the chill.

BTW, isn't Mount Etna an active volcano?

Thank you, jmb and Sally. Thank you, Cherie. that is a lovely thing to say. Hi, Nick. Yes, very active!

Snowdonia is stunningly beautiful; but having such a lovely person in the foreground DOES enhance the view, doesn't it?
That explosive lump-in-the-landscape, Mount Etna, looks a bit too close for comfort there ... ;-)!

Hi, Phidelm. Thanks for your kind comment. The Etna photo was taken from a fair way away.
