... which is very much in the "Welshcakes" style. I don't know how long that strap would last, though. Why don't I just wear a blindfold when I have to pass these shops? Please convince me, dear readers, that [a] I don't need it and [b] it is utterly impractical as the strap would break quickly.

Dear Welshcakes - you want that bag, but sadly, you probably don't need that bag. You would be tempted to cram it with half your worldly possessions and of course the strap would break and you would be sad and cross. There'll be more - lovelier, bigger, stronger, so hang on with pazienza. Brava!
You need it. Go out and buy it now and then, when the strap breaks, carry it like one of those document folder bags.
Thanks, Sally! You are right. James, how resourceful you are!
I have a rule that often eliminates handbags which may help here as I cannot see an outside pocket. A must for me because I keep my keys there so I don't have to root through the inside when I get into the car or at the house.
It would go well with the red and black shoes, or were they black and red?
Hi, jmb. I hate fumbling for keys, too but I do it in summer. In winter they go in my coat pocket. The shoes were black and red. I'll see if the bag is still there when I go to Raff's on Tues...
Welchcakes you just bought a bag before going to Wales. I do however thing that you should buy the lovely bag and shoes you posted recently. Jusy perfect for the Christmas season.
I did, MM. Still pondering..
Of course you need it: on days when you have very little to carry!
I never thought of that, WW!
Not yet, Liz!
