This week I've got Asiago fresco [in front] which is creamier than the aged Asiago. I like all types of Asiago because it is a cheese which goes well with most other flavours and it doesn't crumble whatever you do to it. The second cheese is a piece of smoked treccione, which means "big braid" [as in hair] as the whole cheese is made in that shape. I'm not a lover of smoked cheeses but this one is growing on me!

oohh those cheeses look delish... but i am only eating cottage cheese at the moment :-(
I hate crumbly cheese! Rubbery, please, for me~~ every time!
That smoked cheese looks delicious. But like Sally, cheese is off the menu for me at the moment. I am on a diet!!!
Are the Italians fond of English cheese, out of interst? Do they sell our Cheddars and Stilton?
Hi, Sally. Are you in training for your adventure? I can't believe you need to diet! Hi, Gleds. Oh, I like cheese that is supposed to be crumbly but I hate cheese that falls apart when you stick cocktail sticks in it! Hi, Cherie. I can't believe you need to diet, either! Hi, Ellee. No, you can't get Brit cheeses here. When I have brought Stilton over it has been loved but otherwise they don't go for our cheeses.
Ooooh.... chesse ... drool. I love the various Asiago varieties I have tried but am yet to experience the world of treccione - it sounds divine.
Our town has a population of about 3000 (plus all the tourists) and a second gourmet deli has just opened - and it looks like the fron line of competition will be cheese. I have dies and gone to heaven. I will ask if they can get me some treccione :-)
Hi WL...I am not a lover of smoked cheese at all...and I also prefer Italian and French cheeses over British ...but Arni love British Chedders and the stonger the better.
Yes your right, I don't believe for one minute that Sally has to diet..she does so much ..gym, walking etc etc!!
Hi, Anne. I prefer Ital cheese, too. Lucky Sally!
Looks cheeselicious.
Hi, mg. You seem to be well served for gourmet food there, then. Do let me know if they get you a treccione. That's a good word, Dr CW!
