Right away I thought of Piazza Armeria (did I spell that right?) so I looked it up.

It's a restaurant/bar (cucina contadina) not far from PA and from the bit of Italian I know, I think it said that it's situated not far from there on the archeological site of Morgantina - Aidone on Mount Erei, 800 meters above? sea level. Looked very interesting!

Do I win a prize if I'm right? Like a trip to Sicily to stay with you? LOL

Is this one of the footpaths in Morgantina?

Mmh. Looks like something laid out on the beach, although it makes no sense to me whatsoever. Looking forward to finding out the answer...

Cherrypie, jmb, it's a "welcome" mosaic at a Greek house in Morgantina, near Piazza Armerina. Well done, Leslie! You got the location! Come over and have some plum liqueur! Close, WW. Location right, MM! Hi, Chervil. Much older than that. Ciao and thanks for the visit, RH.

What do the words say on the mosaic? in Greek/Italian and what does it translate as?

I saw the answer on the later post, I would never have guessed.

Cherrypie, I'm no expert but I was told it was "Welcome" when I visited there. It's a fascinating place. Ciao, Ellee. Sicily never ceases to surprise. That's partly why I love it so.
