SABATO MUSICALE

Better late than never.

I thought I'd combine "Sabato Musicale" and "60 Inglorious Years" with a look at three fabulous older women.

First of all, there is nothing like this dame...
Dame Judi Dench - Folies Bergère - the Nine trailer

... or this one: Dame Shirley Bassey - Get the Party Started

And, batting for Italy... who else?
Sofia Loren - Guarda la Luna from Nine

Ah, how I enjoyed that! I can't wait to watch Nine and Judi Dench performing there. Thanks!

Now those are three winners! And women I can look to as how to age 'gracefully' and with gusto. Don't forget Helen Mirren!

Don't know that Dame Judy would relish being called an older woman though, Welshcakes.

Glad you agree, lakeviewer. Thanks, fullet. I haven't seen it yet, either but I do want to. Hi, Lady M. Yes, Helen is fabulous too. I don't think she'd mind, James.

They've got points in Italian supermarkets, too? Is nowhere sacred?

Do they do 2-4-1 offers as well?

PS talking of the "classy" Sophia loren, I saw a 1960s topless photo of her in a German magazine, displaying the worst overfilled breast job I had ever seen. If you took cement bags to outer space, those would look more erotic...

How does Sophie Loren manage to look so great and eat lots of pasta? She is stunning.

Great artists. Didn't even know that Judi Dench could sing. Thanks!

Hi, Gleds. Yes, they do. What a graphic description of breasts! Hi, Ellee. Money helps but she is beautiful anyway. Hi, Claudia. I knew she could sing because she sang the theme song for the 80s TV series "A Fine Romance". Like many actresses, I imagine she was trained to sing. I admire anyone who can sing in tune!
