PIZZA FOR ONE

If you order takeaway pizza here, you order a whole pizza for each person, not one to slice and share as we do in Britain. I can never get through a whole pizza, so I was interested to explore the new pizzeria that has opened near my home; it's the first time I've seen "pizza for one person" advertised here.

I was fascinated by the mozzarella, creamed pumpkin, smoked provola, mushroom and rocket pizza on the ample menu and here is what constitutes a "portion for one" in Sicily:

It was seriously good and anyone walking past my apartment door as I ate it - OK, most of it - might have been forgiven for imagining I was having a session with Mr Christian Grey in one of his jollier moods. I was also reminded of this:

Eat, Pray, Love - Pizza in Napoli scene

Looks pretty tasty to me, Pat; very tasty. It would make good left-overs, anyway, if you couldn't finish it off in one sitting.

Are you sure, however, it wasn't Christian who was responsible for those noises emanating from your apartment? ;)

How are you coming along with the books, by the way?

It looks sooooo goods. I'm usually satisfied with a regular slice of Pizza. But, in this case, I would probably feel I have the duty to eat the whole thing.

Truly enjoyed the video scene. And the one following with pasta. Thanks!

Hi, Lee. I didn't manage it in one sitting but it was so good! Which books do you mean? Hi, Claude. Glad you enjoyed the clips.

"Fifty Shades" trilogy, Pat...I thought you were reading them.

Ah, yes - sorry, Lee. Sometimes my brain doesn't work! Well, I've finished the first one and I enjoyed it. Saw it as a love story and also a tale about boundaries. Now a friend is going to lend me the other two.

Yes...I saw it as a love story, too, Pat. I really enjoyed the trilogy; and when I finished the last chapter of the last book, I felt a little sad. It was like saying goodbye to friends. And it that happens at the end of a book/s...it means the author has done her or his job, I believe.

If you liked the first one, you will really like the second, and will be keen to get onto the third. James is a seductive writer...and I don't say that with any silly intent intended. Her writing encourages you and makes you want to keep turning the pages.
