TREAT OF THE WEEK - 22

Some bars have stopped making their own ice cream now that autumn is setting in - setting in by Sicilian standards, that is.  Mr Fargione, however, continues to make his and today I found him happily putting together these pretty gelato vol-au-vents.  Yes, they taste as good as they look!

Always so tempting at any season!

I agree with Claude, that I could eat gelato any time of the year!

Oh! Dear! I just put on a couple of pounds just looking at those! But I don't care! They look very tasty! I'll let my imagination do its job!

All power then to Mr Fargione. In Russia, they keep the ice-cream stalls open through the winter although custom is usually down a little compared to summer.

Claude and Pat, I agree too! Hello, Thud and welcome. Yes, irresistible! Hi, Lee. Yes, such a clever idea, I thought. Hi, James. You can get ice cream all year here but not, in the winter months, the lovely freshly made gelato that some bars and restaurant owners make themselves.
