ITALIAN LOGIC PRIZE 2011

Sicily Scene's 2011 Italian logic prize goes to a twelve-year-old student of mine who, when I explained to the class the British habit of giving houses names, deduced,

"Oh, so when you come home you say 'Ciao, Michael' to your house?!"

My former house in Cardiff, which I named Le Bateau Ivre

The student surely deserves the award :) The name of your former house is the title of a poem, isn't it?

Ummm...I've been known to say G'day to my home...often...particularly after I've been away from it for longer than I've intended or wanted!

There are a lot of inanimate objects/things I talk to...perhaps therapy is required!! ;)

That's a lovely name, jams. Hi, Josep. Yes, Rimbaud. Hi, Lee. You and I both! There you go, then, James.
