Today I've got little, round pears and pesche tabbacchiere - the snuffbox-shaped peaches that I show you every year, because every year they surprise me again with their delicate flavour.
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

Those are odd shapes indeed! They must be typically Sicilian versions of those fruit, we don't get them over here in Puglia.
They're called "doughnut peaches" in Winchester market (and jolly good!)
Yes, they must be a special variety grown only in Sicily.
Hi, Saretta. Interesting that you don't get them there. Hi, WW. Yes, they are jolly good. Hi, lakeviewer. They must be.
They look pretty and tasty.
They are, Cherie.
