I plan to make a fresh fruit salad tomorrow. Right now, I'm cooking Herta hotdogs for my son's supper, they are scrummy, not very Italian, but gorgeous with ketchup.
Yes, fruit is the best breakfast in the world, I think! Ellee, you can get ketchup here now. You couldn't when I first used to come here. I don't use it myself, not having kids, but there's something comforting about knowing I could get it if I wanted to!
Thanks for the info, Ian. Still not sure I understand. Ellee, I've always [well, most of my life, anyway] wondered why British bars, self-service establishments and so on can't just serve fresh fruit sometimes. It has always been one of the things that I adore about all of Italy.
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

Does your camera have Macro, or is the fruit just blurry? ;->
Er... what's Macro, Ian?! I think it's the overhead lighting in the bar that does it.
Our bars don't serve up such healthy food here.
Macro=close-up setting.
Probably not so,ething phones have yet though...
