Sounds like a great excuse to make a trip to Italy since I never learned the language 45+ years ago. I do speak limited Italian to my dog because I've found many of the things the maid said to the kids work with the dog and those words I remember. I joke that my dog is bilingual. She ignores me in English and Italian.
