Looks delish! Are you still having watermelon weather over there in Sicily? Autumn has hit Puglia full force, rain, wind, cool weather...it's suddenly here!
So glad you all like the pic! Leslie, just been over - that was quite something! WW, you are right - they don't taste the same anywhere else! Saretta, it has "cooled" to about 25 C in the afternoons now!
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

How clever, and pretty, too.
Yes lovely.
Delightful :-)
Yummie. :)
Very pretty, but as you know I'm not a melon lover. You MUST come over to see what jmb, liz and I had for our dessert today.
A very good cut indeed. Tasty too.
Looks great, nothing beats eating watermelon , even spitting out the pips :)
I love watermelon. They don't seem to taste as good in England. Maybe they need a hot climate for maximum enjoyment.

I bet water melons are really cheap in Sicily. I know it looks very decorative, but I think I prefer to see it sliced.
Those black things aren't flies, are they?
What a joy for the eyes.
Hi, ellee. Well, much cheaper than in the UK. I just thought this was so pretty. Seeds, Calum! Agree, jmb.
Looks almost too good to eat :-)
