I must be unwell as I don't feel like cooking, which is very rare for me. There are no frozen ready-meals here and I wouldn't buy them if there were but I do have portions of meals I have made in the freezer and was going to defrost one of these. However, I liked the look of this freshly concocted dish in one of the larger supermarkets this morning: it contains chicken wings, onions, carrots, new potatoes, tomatoes, capers, garlic, olives, seasoning, olive oil and herbs. No, of course I'm not going to eat all that in one go! I'll cook it, have some tomorrow and freeze the rest. James might be interested to know that it cost €5.33 and there is easily enough for 4 servings.

I'm sure that it will be just fine. I do love a meal that is 90% shoving some things in the oven. I think I am just tired of cooking.
Sounds like a slow recovery happening there.
That looks like a great way to go when you don't feel like cooking, Welsh. Don't apologise for it...why the hell not, I say!
I've not felt very much like cooking of late...and I've been having very simple meals. I've like the idea of food, but not the idea of preparation and eating! It's probably the change in seasons.
Oh dear, Welshcakes, are you still poorly? Or not back to normal anyway. I do hope you can shake off the remains of this nasty flu soon.
xx to you and Simi.
Looks good. I hardly ever eat chicken because of all the chemicals which are pumped into it. Is Sicilian chicken organic? My comfort food's tomato soup. Hope you feel better soon.
I am glad you are back Ms Limoncello - as I have a few culinary matters to follow up on.
1. Is a corned beef hash a pie if it is topped with a cheesey crust?
2. I still have the mince I mentioned before - it has gone green. Can I still eat it?
It does look good. I hope you will soon be back to your usual self; maybe a tonic is needed. I am not that fond of frozen food, apart from peas and oven chips, but I do buy the ready meals from M&S. Great when I don't feel like cooking.
bellissima!
hey do you like my "avatar"? it took such a time to figure out how to put this bloody thing against my profile... ;->...
Sheer culinary cruelty to hungry males.
Wow, you must be sick not to want to cook but if this is you on an "off day", then an "on day" wouldn't bear description.
My comfort food, is Chicken Noodle soup, with extra noodles added..especially love the little soup shells...
Yum, wow and sigh in any order . do get well soon and motivate me again .xx
i expect it is just me, but I have some difficulty readig the letters for word verification; do you think I am too computerised? or am I just thick..second attempt to follow..
Such a bargain, plenty for me too, I would eat double helpings of this.
Hi, jmb. Don't know why I am so slow recovering! Ciao, Lee. Maybe the melancholy change of season - and so suddenly, here - has something to do with it all. Thanks, Liz. Don't know what's the matter with me! Ciao and thanks, WW. Yes, nearly always organic chicken here. Minestrone does it for me! Dear Mutley, you're the tonic a girl needs! Q1 - yes. Q2 - can't you think of someone you hate enough to serve it to? Thanks, MM. Gleds, I love it! James, I am sick indeed but you always make me feel better! Anne, as above, I need minestrone! Janejill, hi. Sorry about the word verif. I find it difficult to decipher now and then too.
Glad you like the look of it, Ellee.
