It's not belligerent to fight for your rights, James or, in countries where women have them, to remind people that they were hard won. Thank you, Caramella. I can't see the resemblance either!
I'm a sort-of retired language teacher from Cardiff, Wales, UK, now trying to make a new life in Sicily. I'm not growing vines, making olive oil or restoring a palace stone by stone!

Beautiful! And a lovely bouquet. I wonder what that yellow flower is in it, it always smells so sweet.
Hi, Jenny. They are mimose, a symbol of Women's Day in Italy because they are easy to find at this time of year.
Grazie, anche a te...un po' in ritardo.
Prego, Francesca e grazie.
Yes but some men know women. Pity some of them have to make it a belligerent day - in Russia, it's a day of reconciliation.
Happy Women's day to you too Pat, sorry if I'm late. Ligabue is known as the Elvis of Italy...I don't see the resemblance though:)
