AND NOW IT'S TIME FOR.....

Christmas doesn't really get under way here until the December 8th holiday and even then, there is little of the bustle and excitement we associate with the season in Britain.  But you know it's getting near when you can hardly move in the supermarket for wall-to-wall panettoni. This morning I espied this year's Bauli mini pandori and they're so cute I just had to have one for my tree!

Hmm - do you think he looks a bit lonely and needs a companion?

Christmas celebrations always seem to me a very Northern thing. I like Easter the further south you get. Which is your favourite festival?

Hi, Jenny. Oh, I think Christmas now. It wasn't my favourite time of year for a long time after my parents died but now I try to focus on the happy memories. And I love all the lights and glitter!
Hi, Nerys. Thought you might!
That's exactly what I thought, LindyLouMac.

I have always been adamant the Christmas doesn't start until December!!

But I have to confess that I bought some baubles for the tree last weekend when I visited a garden centre for lunch.

They were there and they just jumped into the basket...

Hi, Cherie. Yes, pretty things do have a habit of jumping into our baskets at this time of year....
