An ice cream shop called Dairy Queen is offering a "Pecan Pie Blizzard". It has bits of pie crust, brown sugar candy bits, pecans, and a dash of caramel, mixed up in vanilla soft serve ice cream. It is SOOOOO good. I'm glad I don't live close to a DQ because I know I would over indulge OFTEN.
I'm living high just knowing someone can enjoy my favorite snack! I lost the ability to digest dairy over a year ago, after a bout with bursitis and pain meds that must have disturbed the balance of my gastric juices. No use crying over spilled milk, though. I can still eat a bit of cheese without much distress.
Cinnamon and coffee sounds very good to me as I like both ingredients and combining them in ice cream sounds just fine. Jennifer's Pecan Pie Dairy Queen Blizzard really sounds good, too. A few years ago, a dear friend flew to Georgia with me to drive my mother's car back cross country for my son, Jeremy. We stopped all along the way at Dairy Queen's for their blizzards. We must have gained five pounds on that trip since we were really pushing ourselves, with only two overnight stops, driving straight through the rest of the time, except for the bathroom, Dairy Queen blizzards and an occasional hamburger.

The Blizzard Treat A very popular Dairy Queen item today is the Blizzard Treat, which is soft-serve mechanically blended with add-in ingredients such as sundae toppings and/or pieces of cookies, brownies, or candy. It has been a staple on the menu since its introduction in 1985, a year in which Dairy Queen sold 100 million Blizzards.[14] The Blizzard was invented by Sam Temperato, Ted Drews, and Wil Stiles. It is traditionally served upside down to prove the thickness. The most popular Blizzard flavors include Oreo Cookies, chocolate chip cookie dough, M&M's (Smarties in Canada), Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Heath bar, and Butterfinger. Seasonal flavors are also available such as October's Pumpkin Pie

That would be great, I'm a coffee geek. Today, I settled for a simple cream and chocolate... a safe bet I guess :)
