HAPPY ST DAVID'S DAY

For Welsh people everywhere, for all who wish they were Welsh and for all with a song in their heart:

David Alexander - My Wales

And Simi says:

You could be right, Simi.

Happy St Davids day to you Pat.

I hope that you knew the significance of the Daffodils on your birthday card :-)

Hope you have a lovely week. x

Happy St. David's Day from America:

My ancestors (Griffith/Mansel/Jenkins) came to the US about 1860, but I just recently discovered where they originated (Llanddarog parish, Carmarthenshire) and am trying to steep myself in Welsh heritage.

Thank you for posting the videos--I very much enjoyed listening to the music and viewing the Welsh scenery. I had not heard the Welsh National Anthem before.

The Welsh anthem is the best and whenever I hear it, I would like to be Welsh. I'm not though, but as a kid, I did enjoy several family holidays in Llandudno(sp?). Fond memories indeed.

Thanks, Anne and yes, I very much appreciated that. x Hi, Muddlescombe. How nice to meet you and thanks for your good wishes. It's very interesting to read that you have Welsh ancestors. I think the anthem is among the loveliest in the world. I hope you get a chance to visit Wales one day! Hi, Rolf. Cincin and Iechydd dda! Thanks, Cherie. x Hi, Mary. I always get a lump in my throat when I listen to the anthem. I'm glad you have fond memories of Wales. Thanks, Nerys. Hope you had a good one too!

I bought daffodils because my son is called David, so it was his special day too. In Greece, they always celebrate name days instead of birthdays.
Hope you had a great St David's Day.

I'm late but I truly enjoyed listening to Welsh music and your National Anthem. Many thanks. I'm sure you had a lovely time on St David's Day. All the best, always!

Hi, Ellee. I think David is a lovely name. People celebrate saints' days more than birthdays here, too. Thank you, Claudia. I'm glad you liked the music.
