Hi, cherrypie. It is beautiful, I agree. Good try, Anne but it is nearer than that. Glad you're impressed, Gleds.It is, in fact , the 15th century portal of San Giorgio Vecchio in Ragusa Ibla. The rest of the church was destroyed in the 1693 earthquake.
Interesting architecture, and no, I do not know what this is called.
That was of one of choices when I googled....I was torn....never mind, I made a effort in trying. Very hard when you really don;t know what you are looking at or for.
