There is no surer sign of spring in Sicily than beautiful bougainvillea tumbling over a white wall. Last week there was none to be seen; then suddenly this week here it is in all its precocious glory. I think this delicate pink-mauve colour is my favourite kind.
Beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. The delights of nature.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a sight to gladden the heart!
ReplyDeleteOh now spring must have arrived for you, those blooms are so beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and much nicer than the garish cerise colour. I like the more peach shade myself.
ReplyDeleteLove flowers of all kinds and these are very pretty to look at :-)
ReplyDeleteoh Welshcakes, I love bougainvillea too ... there is a huge jacaranda tree here on the outskirts of town that flowers with the most pretty pale purple flowers and it has a deep purple bougainvillea climbing through it, gee it looks beautiful when they are both in flower, alas we are half a year away from spring here!
ReplyDeleteOh these are beautiful I wonder if I could grow it here in Canada ....

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. We are in plant slumber zone here in South Australia. A good time to give up on many of the plants that didn't make it through the intense summer heat and drought this year.
ReplyDeleteHi, CC. Yes, some of my balcony herbs have given up the ghost. Yet a geranium which I have totally neglected is out there flowering!
ReplyDeleteWL,
ReplyDeleteLooks very much like a wysteria.
Not in bloom here yet but starting to bloom in Lombardia where I spent a few days.
Gorgeous, it's my favourite colour.
ReplyDeleteHi, eurodog. Well, I was always hopeless at plants....
