I love it. We have a delicious watermelon at the moment. It reminds of us of our childhood as we always grew watermelons, which frankly grew like weeds. regards jmb
Lee, I'm exactly the same! Hi, Sally, yes, it somehow does! Hi, James. Interesting to learn they are at their best later there. Here they disappear in September. steve, I didn't receive any earlier comment from you on this one. I imagine water melons must be very refreshing in the California sun.
They look like watermelons to me. Bit early for the good ones, yes?
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what they are, James. Now is the best time for them here.

Hi, jmb. Watermelons for me are the symbol of an Ital summer. They never tasted the same in Britain.
ReplyDeleteI love those pics...somehow they are very warming to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI love watermelon...once I start eating watermelon, I can't stop until I've finished!!!
Love the parasol, doesn't it restore your faith in Italy despite ferragosto!
ReplyDeleteWe have to wait until late August, early September ehre. They do come out earlier but they are not juicy.
ReplyDeleteI thought I had posted on the watermelons earlier, guess I hadn't. Ate a lot of them when I was a kid. Lots of watermelons are grown in California.
