I'm all for gelato at any time of year! We were just visiting my dad in Turkey - he had loads of pomegranates so what we started doing was just to put the whole fruit (cut in half) in the freezer, and eat it frozen as a kind of super-cheating sorbet.
Absolutely my two favourite flavours and I adore pomegranates :-)
