On the day when the Welsh flag flies in Modica's Via Sacro Cuore, I think we should combine the two cultures by featuring a Welshwoman singing an Italian song:
The Union Jack and Welsh and Italian flags signal the opening of the new English Matters school in Modica. I am proud to be associated with the school and I'll be telling you a lot more about it soon!
Hello Pat, Kathryn Jenkins has the most amazing, mezzo soprano, contralto voice, that I have ever heard,...Truly wonderful...
ReplyDeleteDi.. xx
What a nice website it has, so bright and appealing! I will look forward to hearing more about it.
ReplyDeleteHi, Di. Yes, although she has been much criticised for her lack of opera training and experience. I think she has a lovely voice.
ReplyDeleteHi, Jenny. You have made my day! I created the site all by myself and it wasn't easy as I'd never done one before. But I learnt by doing it and now it's so nice to read that you like it!
I remember Kathryn Jenkins saying she is a classical singer, not opera, because she is still too young and needs to be over 30 for her voice to be fully matured because she can sing opera.
ReplyDeleteI took my pa-in-law to see her and she was lovely.
I am going to the Brecon Beacons for a walking holiday at the end of the month. It would be lovely if you could join us.
I hope you and Simi are well. x
Hi, Ellee. I didn't realise she'd said that. I've never seen her live but would like to. If I were over there, a walking holiday would not be my thing but I would wait for you in a bookshop in Hay-on-Wye!
