Early summer is the season of the mini fruit in Sicily. Usually mini pears are the first to appear but yesterday I found these delightful little peaches:
It occurred to me that maybe they don't look all that mini in the dish so I put one next to a normal-sized nectarine:

ReplyDeleteI am anxiously awaiting donut peach season! Now those are especially good when they come from Sicily (the ones from Spain can not compare).

ReplyDeleteNever seen the small versions on sale around here! Our fruit seems very late ripening this year, we were gearing up for the cherry harvest this time last year.
