SCACCE AND STARGAZING

"Come round tonight to eat scacce and look for shooting stars", said a friend who rang yesterday morning [for you can still make a wish if you see a shooting star on 11th or 12th August]. I did not need much persuasion, reader, for Linda makes delicious scacce [focacce] and has a lovely garden in which to tarry.

Below: me, stargazing.

  6. If you tell what you wish for, does it come true ?
After reading your previous post I can't help feeling a wee bit envious of your life in Sicily.
I'm definitely on the look out for a shooting star!

  7. Thanks for the reminder -- as soon as I read this I ran outside and sat for a good 20 minutes, along with my husband, making wishes that I hope will come true! With any luck, we'll be doing a lot of traveling soon!

  10. Many thanks, jmb. I agree, Mopsa! It was, Sally. Well done, Anne. I saw one here tonight, WW! Me, too, Lucia. I must do it more often! I don't know, Trubes. I hope so! I think we all envy other people's lives from time to time but nobody's life is perfect. Hi, Rowena. Happy travels! Thanks, Cherie. Don't give up yet - the night is young!

  11. Nice looking focacce. Never knew it would be still considered focacce if it were stuffed with tomato or ricotta. Is this the same a calazone? Or different?

You look nice wishing upon a star!
