Well, I failed but had fun. I would probably fail as a housewife in any other country too. Oh well, as long as things are kept down to a dull roar, there is just so much more to life than housekeeping.
Hi, Betty. Welcome back. You must really miss that! Hi, Mary. You're in good company! That's really appropriate! Hi, Flutterby. Glad you had fun. I totally agree with you. You and me both, WW - yes, good news! Hi, Lucia. That's what all my friends here say to their families. We've all failed here! Hi, Mopsa. If you're doomed you're in good company! Well done, jams!
But I think it would be a bit boring, doing all that ironing, cleaning, cooking and no books to read!!!! When would I find time to go out, lunching, coffee, walking, photographing, and blogging!!!
Hi, James. I failed my own test miserably! Hi, Anne. I'll have a look in a mo. I agree with you - it would be boring! Hello, Constance. Nice to meet you and thank you so much for your kind words.
Hi, Anne. I did look at your facebook profile and had a giggle to see that you are so perfect [like me!!] I cheat on those bits, Mutley! I'm sure you fulfill the requirements better than me, jmb!
I had to think like a sicilian and recall my husbands grandmother and all her habits. I made the "Perfect Sicilian Housewife"...fat chance in real life!
Yay! I am the perfect housewife... my mum always got annoyed at me when I complained about the state of the house. Even at 12 I was doing all the housework because no one else did it to a good enough 'standard' :D I think I've found my calling!

I didn't make the cut, but when I lived in Sicily I had a maid. I still miss her and my husband probably still misses his ironed underwear.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, neither did I.
ReplyDeleteDo you realize that your word verification code today was 'unfit'? How appropriate.

ReplyDeleteMy result was "Oh dear!" (which I think is good news...?)

ReplyDeleteOOps - fell at the 1st hurdle - I clean as little as possible and never wear makeup - I am doomed!
ReplyDeleteErr I am a modern woman. This will come as a massive surprise to the not-wife...

ReplyDeleteI am a 'modern woman' - the bits about partners and families failed me as I have neither...
ReplyDeleteI don't make a very good housewife here so I certainly don't make a good Sicilian one.
