A 6€ FEAST

The Caffè Consorzio are offering a set weekday lunch menu of a primo or secondo plus a dessert and drink for only 6 euros per head so Irma and I decided to try it today. We were both delighted with their couscous di verdura and beautifully presented coppa di frutta.

  10. O wow! The top one looks particularly yummy...

BTW as a cry from home I'll tell you that Morrisons (formerly Safeways) are doing a 99p deal on 300g packs of stuffed pasta.

And unlike Sainsbury's stuffed tortelloni, Morrisons' distinctly tastes of what it says on the label, rather than some indistinct "pasta stuffing stuff"... e.g. the four cheese and red onion really is like a pret a manger sandwich... the lamb and rosemary is fantastic. Unfortunately it has something called pannacetta(?) which comes from a dead swine(??) which is most inconvenient as I do not eat pork!

Love from us to you and Chloe xx C'est la vie, James. I see what you mean, WW! Hi, Anne. No, it certainly doesn't go as far as it used to! Hi, Gleds. Thanks for the info. Pity about the pancetta [Ital bacon].

  12. That looks fantastic and really good value. If they can do it in Italy, why not here in the UK?
