MEDITERRANEAN GIRLS

Today is the Liberation Day holiday and Simi and I have been for a stroll along the promenade at Sampieri. I thought you'd like to see what the Med looked like this morning.

  1. That looks like a lovely place and I'm sure Miss Simi enjoyed the change of scenery. Is is far from Modica? How do pronounce Modica, accent on first or second syllable? I keep thinking like Modena, on first, but haven't got a clue.

  2. Hi, jmb. Miss Simi loved it but wouldn't look at the camera because there were so many other doggies around! Modica like Modena - accent on first. Auguri

  3. jmb, forgot to say it's about 10 mins away by car - but we haven't got one, so we go when friends offer a lift as no one seems to take dogs on public transport here.

  8. I bet you would rather be in an Insurance Office in rainy Croydon wouldn`t you. You look rather sweet and the background is ravishing.

You have made my day a little better.

  10. Where's the sandy beach? How nice to have a walk along the sea front in the morning instead of commuting to work, or suffering the way that Newmania is.

  11. Hi, Sally. I think you'd love it! janejill, I think that's Scopello in TrĂ pani and that's on the other side of the island. I've not read that book - will look out for it. LN, "never say never!" Lee, you, too, would love it - but not in summer when it gets very crowded! Oh, NM, I would! Glad I cheered your day a bit xxx steve, I'm sure you would both love that particular promenade. Ellee, the sandy, unpolluted beach is right next to it.
