Mutley, Russia can be a strange and terrifying place; whilst there was an other-worldly feel to the gorge, I'm not sure I would classify it as terrifying if you exclude the rickety timber bridge towards the end... Speaking of rickety bridges, I hope you had a good time in Bristol, Ellee.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10592187937057477365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26674022.post-59366072804383844442007-10-12T15:56:00.000+02:002007-10-12T15:56:00.000+02:00I am off to Bristol soon, I just wanted to wish yo...I am off to Bristol soon, I just wanted to wish you a lovely weekend.Ellee Seymourhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647480320978146418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26674022.post-73606683673443346632007-10-12T12:10:00.000+02:002007-10-12T12:10:00.000+02:00A strange and terrifying place if you ask me...A strange and terrifying place if you ask me...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26674022.post-4699139913045754552007-10-12T02:01:00.000+02:002007-10-12T02:01:00.000+02:00Great post Ian. We are both back safe and sound - thanks, Ellee.<BR/>Annechung - I've only just, about an hour ago, got back from the UK but felt I had to reply to your query: dress lightly but bring layers of jumpers or cardigans plus some tights / socks as it can still be as hot as the best summer's day in Britain in October but you can get very cold at night! Usually it is fine but if we get a storm it can really last -Sicilians, of course, don't go out during them! - but if you can, bring a rain jacket / light mac with hood. Personally I find umbrellas pretty useless here as when there is rain, there is wind! Please comment again if there is anything else I can help you with.Welshcakes Limoncellohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17209759237794290941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26674022.post-3549012174032340702007-10-11T22:13:00.000+02:002007-10-11T22:13:00.000+02:00I'm actually looking to find out what the weather'...I'm actually looking to find out what the weather's going to be like, I shall be in Sicily onOct 15 for 10 days, I don't know how to pack, is it cold and wet like in March my last trip, umbrellas are useless because of the wind, a raincoat?annechunghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00459169385864026846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26674022.post-45470139955684372122007-10-11T20:46:00.000+02:002007-10-11T20:46:00.000+02:00The gorge looks stunning, I love visiting places o...The gorge looks stunning, I love visiting places off the beaten track.
